What started as a small group of women meeting one night in November of 2001 to discuss how to better organize for tournaments has continued to blossom.

The Front Range Organization of Women’s Ice Hockey Tournaments (also known as Cliffhangers Hhockey) is dedicated to the promotion of player development and a positive representation of women’s ice hockey through quality instruction, camaraderie, opportunity and sportsmanship; Whether participating at a league level or tournament, the Cliffhangers offer an opportunity to suit diverse hockey communities for adult women. As a non- profit organization (501c4) run entirely by volunteers, we strive to provide a quality environment for our membership to experience varying levels of the sport of ice hockey at a reduced cost through annual fundraising and sponsorships.

In addition to participating in a number of tournament in the US and beyond, the Cliffhangers also participated in the WACH league starting in the 2002.03 season. 

The Cliffhangers in 2006 - 07 have awarded a sponsorship to the girls division of the Arvada Hockey Association. The Cim Koch Memorial Scholarship will go to deserving player(s) who may not otherwise be able to play this great game. This scholarship will be an annual event as long as we are able to continue it.
